Note!
It is not possible to built-in a Set-top-Box Controller module in the chassis.
The Set-top-Box Controller is software (STB-C software and STB-C table) - which
has to be fl ash-programmed into a processor - the M2 processor.
The application software for the M2 processor can be fl ash-programmed.
For this purpose Bang & Olufsen has developed a "Flash Tool" which is a PC/
LapTop application for installation/updating the STB-C software and the M2
application software.
- PC/LapTop with Bang & Olufsen "Flash Tool" application (can be downloaded from
the Retail System).
- Cable kit no. 3375397.
Updating M2 software
(the IR Output socket is not present)
If the IR Output socket is not present the only software that has to be updated is
the M2 application software.
- Disconnect the mains from the TV set.
- Remove the rear cover (see page 6.7).
- Only connect Cable kit to 1P51.
- Start the "Flash Tool", choose "Products" and follow the on-screen instruction on
the PC.
Installation/Updating software
(the IR Output socket is present)
When the TV set is equipped with the IR Output socket it is possible to install/
update both the M2 application software and the STB-C software via this
connection.
- Disconnect the mains from the TV set.
- Start the "Flash Tool", choose "Products" and follow the on-screen instruction on
the PC.
Software versions can be checked in the "Service Menu".
