IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:
1.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles. Always wear oven mitts or use
potholders.
3.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord or plugs in water
or other liquids.
4.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
6.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
7.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair
or adjustment.
8.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
9.
Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
10. Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Always attach the kettle's power cord into the kettle's motor outlet first,
then plug the main power-supply cord into the wall outlet.
13. Make sure the vintage cart legs are assembled properly — the 2 square
poles are securely fastened to both sides of the long and short stand;
2 round feet are properly installed, wheels are secure and the cart sits
level on the floor.
14. Never leave the 8oz Theatre Popcorn Maker unattended when it is
plugged into an outlet.
WARNING! After pressing the kettle HEATER button ON ( | ), the stainless
steel kettle heats immediately. After preheating, press HEATER button OFF
(O). Use caution when adding popcorn kernels, oil to the hot kettle.
15. Make sure popcorn kernels are added to the kettle and the front door is
closed before pressing STIR and HEATER buttons to begin corn popping.
16. To turn the 8oz Theatre Popcorn Maker OFF, press illuminated LIGHT, STIR
and HEATER buttons to OFF (O). Then remove plug from wall outlet.
17. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
18. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot
oil or other hot liquids.
19. To remove popped popcorn, use the front door handle to access popped corn.
WARNING: To avoid popcorn from spilling out, do not open front (clear)
door to remove cooked popcorn while corn is popping.
20. Never leave this 8oz Theatre Popcorn Maker unattended during use.
21. Do not leave this appliance plugged in while unattended.
Unplug when not in use.
WARNING: Do not use the stainless steel popcorn kettle separately.

22. This Popcorn Maker will not shut off automatically. You must press
the STIR and HEATER buttons OFF (O) when corn popping has stopped.
23. Extreme caution must be used when unloading popped popcorn.
Always use the front (clear) door and use caution so that residual hot oil
will not cause burns.
WARNING: Kettle surface is HOT and should NOT be touched
during popping or just after use.
24. Never add popcorn kernels to a dry kettle (without oil).
25. Do not immerse popcorn kettle into water.

CAUTION: Do not place anything on top of the 8oz Theatre Popcorn Maker
while it is operating or while it is hot.

All users of this appliance must read and understand this instruction
manual before operating or cleaning this appliance.
2.
The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a 120V AC 3-prong
electrical outlet only.
3.
If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately press
illuminated LIGHT, STIR, and HEATER buttons to OFF (O).
Then remove plug from wall outlet.
CAUTION: Do not touch or unplug the kettle while it is in use.
4.
Do not use or attempt to repair the malfunctioning appliance.
5.
Before popping corn, check to make sure front door is correctly attached,
popcorn kettle is resting in the support brackets, the gear is securely
engaged in the roof of the main unit and the kettle's 3-prong plug is
plugged into its socket on the roof of the main unit.
6.
WARNING: To avoid damage to the 8oz Theatre Popcorn Maker, NEVER
add more than 1 cup popcorn kernels or 1/3 cup popping oil to the kettle.
