BIO CO

Biological CO
With CO
control gel and CO
2
- Instructions for use: Please read thoroughly. Store in a safe place. -
Congratulations on your purchase of this high-quality Bio CO
you to supply your aquarium easily, reliably and evenly with CO2 – the most important fertilizer for aquarium plants.
DENNERLE hopes you will have many hours of fun and pleasure with your aquarium!
CO
is essential for all aquarium plants
2
From the building blocks of CO
(carbon dioxide), water and light,
2
plants produce their most important nutrient and energy store: sugar.
They will only grow and truly thrive – and provide your fish with the
oxygen they, in turn, need – if your aquarium's water contains enough
CO
.
2
So only tanks with very few plants or none at all will require additional
aeration as the natural producers of oxygen are missing.
A constant CO
supply
2
has other advantages
CO
dissolves in water partly as carbonic acid. Most tropical aquarium
2
fish and plants love this slightly sour water. It has a positive impact on
the sensitive skin of the fish. It will be easily for plants to absorb essen-
tial trace elements.
As it directly encourages considerable plant growth, a constant CO
ply even fights algae. Thousands of times over, it has been proven that
healthily growing water plants rob algae of the nutrients they need to
survive. As a consequence, existing algae generally shrink visibly within
a few weeks, effectively preventing algae from spreading excessively.
Constant CO
production
2
through CO
control gel
2
A fermentation process with pure sugar normally starts out very rapid-
ly, but abruptly drops off again after just a few days. DENNERLE Bio CO
with CO
control gel, on the other hand, produces a constant amount
2
of CO
for at least 30 days – that translates into a virtually constant
2
amount of CO
for over one month.

Installation and Connection
1. Select an easily accessible place on
your aquarium for mounting the ther-
mo container. Pull the protective foil
off the adhesive strips on the thermo
container.
Press the thermo container vertically
onto a clean and fat-free aquarium
pane and make sure it is firmly atta-
ched. The thermo container has to fit
evenly all around against the pane.
Please note: The adhesive strips stick
very tightly. After pressing the thermo
container onto the pane, you will not
be able to move it.
2. Unscrew the cap of the Bio CO
bott-

le, open the life-up lid and take out
the starter capsule. Carefully pull up
and remove the green half of the cap-
sule.
Pour the contents of the starter cap-
sule into the bottle. Add the empty
capsule halves to the bottle as well.
3. Fill the bottle up to the marker line
(arrows) with tap water at 20 to
25°C (NOT more than 25°C!).

too bright to prevent possible algae
growth. By means of the two suc-
