5. Attach bracket ass'y. item #130A to each wiper bar as il-
lustrated in ¿ gures 4 thru 6. The bracket is attached to the
wiper bar using two ½-20 x 1-1/4" hex bolts (item #65) and
related washers supplied with each wiper bar. There are
two bolts for each bracket. The bolts should remain loose
for later adjustment. (See Illustrations 4 and 11.)
Figure 4. Move the wiper bar horizontally toward the rail with light taps
of a hammer at the end of the mounting clamp
Figure 5. Move the wiper bar vertically by prying up under the face
mounting bolts.
Figure 6. Tighten the face mounting bolts.

6. Attach each bracket assy, item #130A, to each base
bracket, item #127 using a 5/8-11 x 1-1/2" 12 point head
bolt, item #124, with À at and lock washers supplied with
the mounting hardware kit. (Note that the bolt requires a
standard 12 point socket or wrench.) See ¿ gure #4. Attach
the bracket to the secured base bracket ¿ rst, then reposi-
tion the loose base bracket as required to align with the
mounting holes in the bracket ass'y. item #130A. The 5/8
bolts should be snug enough to hold the assembly in place
but loose enough for adjustment with light hammer taps.
7. Some installers ¿ nd that installation is easier by removing
the brush, item #60. The brush can be removed by loosen-
ing the four ¼-20 set screws, item #69, and sliding the
brush out of the trough, item #61. (See Illustration 4.)
8. Position the wiper bar under the rail head until the front
metal edge behind the rubber tip is aligned with the gage
face of the rail. (Figure 8A). After horizontal alignment,
raise the wiper bar vertically by prying up under the two
½-20 bolts, item #65, as shown in ¿ gure 5. The rear seal,
item #57, should be compressed tightly, up against the rail
head. The rear seal must remain straight, without bending.
If the seal bends out towards the gage face of the rail, it
can be repositioned straight by sliding a ¿ nger between the
gage face and rubber tip, item #59, to straighten the seal.
The seal must not bend back towards the web or ¿ eld side
of the rail. This must be done on both ends of the wiper
bar, one end at a time. The distance from the top of the
rail to the top of the wiper bar trough, item #61, must be no
less than 1-3/4". (See ¿ gure 8B.)
Figure 8A. Con¿ rm top edge of the bar is even with the gage face with
the foam seal in contact with the bottom of the rail head.
