General Description
The Lincoln Industrial Railroad Wayside Lubricators are a high
pressure, positive displacement, positive distribution lubricat-
ing system designed to dispense grease onto the gage face of
railroad track. Units are available with two pumps installed in
the housing for double track installations and can be used with
either two or four wiper bars per pump. The lubrication pump
runs on 24 VDC and is powered either with a 24 VDC solar
panel and batteries, or an AC to DC power converter.
The wiper bars are unique to the industry with a patented
positive displacement distribution and rubber dispensing tip
and brush. Each of the 12 outlet ports in each of the wiper bars
will receive full system pressure in turn to insure even grease
distribution and coverage. Designed to ¿ t neatly beneath the
railhead with only the brush and rubber tip exposed to the rail
car wheel, the wiper bar is well protected from damage due to
wheel strike.
The pump controller uses a counter/timer to counts axle
passes and activates the pump for a pre-set period after a
pre-set number of axles pass the wiper bars. Both of the time
settings are easily adjusted in the ¿ eld. In Dual pump units,
two controllers are used, one for each pump.
The unit housing is constructed of a heat and UV stabilized
high-density polyethylene, with an 800 lb grease© capacity.
This material maintains its high impact properties even at
-40° Fahrenheit.
