Pulling in the rope:
To pull the rope into the system, we recommend that you position the reel at the system end point with the multi-
element in order to pull the rope in from there. To make pulling the rope in easier, you can gently file the rope's cut
edge. After pulling in the rope, secure the end of the rope in the rope terminal as shown in the figure below:
Threaded rod (SL-003)
Lock nut (SL-003 / SL-007)
Clamp sleeve (SL-003 / SL-007)
Screw sleeve (SL-003 / SL-007)
Fork head (SL-007)
8 mm stainless steel rope (SL-004)
Minimum distance (SL-003 / SL-007)
Composition of the rope terminal (SL-003 / SL-007)
Clamping the rope in the terminals:
After pulling the rope in, screw shut the screw sleeve (4.) with the threaded rod (1.) or fork head (5.),
Use a size 19 and 24 fork wrench for this and tighten to 50 Nm. Afterwards, lock with lock nut (2) and two size 24
fork wrenches to 50 Nm.
Tensioning the system:
Place the rope clamp on the wire rope and pre-tension the system with the mini chain hoist. During the pre-
tensioning process, the second fitter should go over the system from the system end and track the rope, especially
at the curves. Then shorten the rope and mount it in the rope terminal in the same way as the other side of the
system. Transfer the voltage from the mini chain hoist to the system, re-tighten with the clamping element and note
the pre-tension using the tension indicator.
