Water runs out of the holes in the
soleplate.
White streaks come through the holes in
the soleplate.
Brown streaks come through the holes in
the soleplate and stain the linen.
The soleplate is dirty or brown and may
stain the linen.
Stream or water escapes under the
appliance.
No steam produced.

Possible cause
Water has condensed in the pipes
because you are using steam for the fi rst
time or you have not used it for some time.
The soleplate is not hot enough.
Your thermostat is faulty: the iron is not
hot enough.
Your iron has a build-up of scale because it
has not been rinsed out regularly.
You are using chemical descaling agents or
additives in the water for ironing.
Fabric fi bres have accumulated in the holes
of the soleplate and are burning.
You are ironing at too high a
temperature.
Your linen is not rinsed suffi ciently or
you have ironed a new garment before
washing it.
You are using starch.
The station is faulty.
To small amount water in the water tank.
Your iron have air in the watertank.
Solution
Press the steam control button away
from your ironing board until the iron
produces steam.
Increase the heat of the soleplate.
Contact an Approved Service Centre.
Clean your iron. (see the "cleaning"
section
Never add this type of product in the
water tank or in the boiler.
Clean the soleplate with a non-metallic
sponge.
See our recommendations regarding
temperature control setting.
Ensure linen is rinsed thoroughly to
remove any soap deposits or chemicals
on new garments which may be sucked
up by the iron.
Always spray starch on the reverse side
of the fabric to be ironed.
Stop using the station and contact an
Approved service centre.
Fill the water tank to MAX level.
After steam lamp lights, press the steam
button for more than one minute to air
the system and then get steam.
