- Place all air control knobs in the open position.
- Remove the panels covering the technical compartment (found
where the control panel is located) and locate the pump drain
plugs, removing them to allow the water to drain from the pumps
and the heater.
Use a vacuum or other means to keep the water from flooding the
system compartment.
- Place the pump drain plugs back
- Loosen the clamp located on the bottom of the Clearray® device
(please refer to the corresponding section) and pull out the hose;
point the end downwards to drain the water. Place the hose back and
tighten the clamp.
- Remove the Clearray® cover, remove the UV lamp and keep it in a
safe place. Remove the quartz tube, dry it and put it back in place.
- Put the technical compartment panels back in place and place the
cover on the hot tub.
Restarting your spa in cold weather
If you want to start up your spa after it has sat empty for a time
in freezing temperatures, check whether the water remaining
in certain sections of the piping is still frozen: this situation
may block water flow preventing the spa from operating prop-
erly and possibly damaging the equipment.
We recommend contacting your reseller or Jacuzzi® serv-
ice centre prior to attempting to restart the hot tub.
CLEARRAY™ Water Purification System
The CLEARRAY water purification system is an exclusive tech-
nology that takes advantage of natural ultraviolet radiation to
eliminate bacteria, viruses and algae potentially present in
the hot tub water. Ultraviolet light, also known as UV-C or
germicidal light, neutralises these organisms, also breaking
down the DNA, so as to prevent reproduction.
The CLEARRAY system, which is directly connected to your
filtration system, works as follows:
- the water coming from the pump, from the filter and from
the heater is disinfected by ultraviolet light, after which it is
introduced back into the spa.
The system is equipped with a power converter whose oper-
ation is signalled by two LEDs: the red one indicates that the
device is powered, while the green one indicates that it is op-
erating correctly.

Note: the CLEARRAY system only works when the jets pump
1 is operating at reduced speed (filtration, etc.).
After one year, the lamp must be replaced. If the UV timer has
been programmed correctly (please refer to the correspon-
ding section), at the end of the allotted time shown on the dis-
play, the message "blb" will appear, indicating the need to in-
stall a new UV lamp and to reset the timer.
UV lamp replacement and maintenance of the
quartz tube
To access the Clearray® device, it is necessary to remove the front
panel (or that of the audio system) and the right angle panel.
These operations should only be carried out by qualified
installers. Please read the instructions carefully before car-
rying out any operations involving the opening of the
Clearray® device.
WARNINGS
Do not look towards the UV lamp if it is turned on: this
can cause severe eye damage!
Do not power or turn on the Clearray® device during
maintenance operations.
Improper use of the device can cause UV-C rays to es-
cape, which even in small amounts can damage your
skin and eyes.
Do not attempt to start damaged devices.
Disconnect the hot tub from the power supply.
Empty the hot tub if you intend to replace or clean
the quartz tube.
Allow the UV lamp to cool down before removing the
quartz tube.
Proceed as follows::
Note: the layout and connection of the device may vary from
model to model.
