6.9- ELECTRIC SYSTEM
Whenever work has to be done on the electric system, always
detach the live wire (+) from the battery.
- Battery
Check and keep the electrolyte level so that all battery elements are covered. As
necessary, add distilled water with the engine switched off and away from naked
flames. Check battery clamp fixing performance and grease them with Vaseline.
Keep the battery clean and if the tractor is not used for a long time, remove the
battery and store it in a cool dry place.
Any type of work on the battery should be done with extra care
and attention. The electrolyte is corrosive and the gas from the
battery is flammable.
- Clogging gauge of the engine air filter
Check that the clogging gauge of the engine air filter is in the correct position
and, if it is serviced, make sure that it is correctly assembled and protected
against the outdoor weather conditions as indicated in fig. 19.
It is essential for the cable connecting to the electrical system of the machine N°
1 fig. 19 to come out of the lower part of the actual gauge itself. The engine air
intake circuit could be seriously damaged if the protection is installed in the
wrong position.
- Fuses:
Before changing a fuse find and eliminate the problem that caused it to blow.
The fuses protect the following circuits fig. 16 (2 fig.13)
1 = Right and left driving beams and driving beam indicator light (10A).
2 = Horn (15A).
3 = Hazard light +15 switch power supply (15A).
