TROUBLESHOOTING
Trouble
When turning the ignition key (67) to "I", the
display does not turn on and the machine
does not operate.
The machine does not move when pressing
the forward/reverse gear pedal.
The main broom does not work.
The side brooms do not operate.
The machine operates only when stationary,
otherwise the red warning light turns on.
The battery autonomy is low.
The machine collects little debris/dust.
The hopper does not lift.
The hopper does not dump.
The hopper does not lower.
The fi lter shaker does not operate.
For further information, refer to the Service Manual, available at any Nilfi sk Alto Service Center.
SCRAPPING
Have the machine scrapped by a qualifi ed scrapper.
Before scrapping the machine, remove and separate the following materials, which must be disposed of properly according to the
Law in force:

Batteries
–
Polyester dust fi lter
–
Main and side brooms
–
Hydraulic system oil
–
Hydraulic system oil fi lter
–
Plastic hoses and components
–
Electrical and electronic components (*)

Refer to the nearest Nilfi sk Alto Center especially when scrapping electrical and electronic components.

Possible cause
The battery connector (25) is disconnected.
The F1 and/or F0 fuse is open.
The forward/reverse gear pedal has been
pressed while turning the ignition key to "I".
The circuit breaker (26) is open.
The right side broom circuit breaker (27) or the
left side broom circuit breaker (28) is open.
Discharged batteries
The batteries are no more effi cient.
The vacuum system is turned off.
The dust fi lter is clogged.
The hopper is full.
The skirts are not properly adjusted or are
broken.
The brooms are not properly adjusted.
The hydraulic system oil level is incorrect.
The F4 or F7 fuse is open.
The F7 fuse is open.
The hopper is too low.
The hopper has not returned to horizontal
position after dumping.
In case of particular weather conditions, the
hydraulic system oil is slow in fl owing through
the safety valve.
The F2 fuse is open.

Remedy
Connect the battery connector.
Check the fuses.
Turn the ignition key to "0" and then to "I", and
do not press the forward/reverse gear pedal.
Wait for the main broom motor to cool down,
then reset the circuit breaker (26) by pressing
the relevant push-button.
Wait for the side broom motor to cool down,
then reset the circuit breaker (27) or (28) by
pressing the relevant push-button.
Charge the batteries.
If the trouble persists, replace the batteries.
Replace the batteries. If necessary, install
batteries with higher capacity (see Technical
Data paragraph).
Turn on the vacuum system with the switch (56).
Clean the dust fi lter by using the fi lter shaker or
by disassembling it.
Empty the hopper.
Adjust/replace the skirts.
Adjust the broom height.
Check the hydraulic system oil level in the tank
(41).
Replace the fuse.
Replace the fuse.
Lift the hopper at a minimum height of 300 mm.
Turn the hopper to horizontal position after
dumping.
Wait a few moments to let the hydraulic system
oil fl ow.
Replace the fuse.
