3.4.4.1. Fiber Optic Board Jumper Settings
Two jumper blocks, W1 and W2, set the gain for the IND560x Fiber Optic board. These are
indicated in Figure 3-44.
Table 3-17 shows the jumper setting for each of the four fiber optic gain options. If signal strength
is inadequate, adjust the jumpers to increase the gain until reliable communication is achieved.
3.4.4.2. Plastic Core Fiber Optic Cable
For very short distances up to 40m (130 ft), a plastic core fiber optic cable is available. This cable
is available with connectors already installed on each end or is available in bulk and a termination
kit can be used for connection in the field. Please refer to the appropriate price pages and catalogs
for available lengths and part numbers.
