RESPONSIBILITY OF OPERATOR
1.
Carefully read and follow these safety instructions. Failure to do so can result in
serious injury or death.
2.
Know your product. Read and understand this manual before use. Compare the
illustrations to machine. Learn location and function of all controls. Thoroughly
understanding the machine before use will result in the best performance and safety.
3.
Follow all instructions when assembling the machine. If the machine was purchased
in assembled condition, the operator must check the machine carefully to make
sure it was assembled according to the instructions in the manual before use.
4.
Regularly inspect the chipper shredder. Make sure parts are not bent, damaged or loose.
5.
Use this equipment for its intended purpose only. The intended purpose is to shred
leaves and twigs and chip wood branches.
6.
Operate the machine only with guards, shields and other safety items in place and
working correctly.
7.
Service the machine only with authorized or approved replacement parts.
8.
Complete all machine maintenance and adjustments according to the instruction in
this manual.
DANGER
Carbon Monoxide. Using an engine indoors can kill you in minutes.
Engine exhaust contains high levels of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas you
cannot see or smell. You may be breathing CO even if you do not smell engine exhaust.
DANGER
The chipper shredder is capable of amputating hands and feet
and throwing objects. Read and follow all warnings and safety instructions on the
chipper shredder and in this manual. Failure to do so can result in serious injury or
death to you or bystanders.
WARNING
adjusting or making repairs, always disconnect spark plug wire and place wire where it
cannot come in contact with plug.
CAUTION
and remain hot after engine has stopped. To avoid severe burns on contact, stay away
from these areas.
