10-880-01 / 10-881-01
Fault cause
EEPROM missing or not installed correctly
a- and P-wires reversed
a-wire not connected
Button freezes for > 15"
Device defective => replace and exchange EEPROM
Programming error or corresponding internal unit not
installed correctly
Installation in programming mode
If the system no longer responds to input signals, check with a multimeter whether the following voltages
are present:
- between b and a: .............approx. +24V DC
- between b and P: .............approx. +24V DC
(b or M = mass)
Exchanging the EEPROM memory
All serial numbers of the internal unit to be called are saved in the EEPROM memory of the flush type door
loudspeaker or extension. If they have to be replaced, the EEPROM memory can be transferred. Before
exchanging the EEPROM memory, make sure to disconnect all power to the system.
Exchanging the EEPROM memory with old types 10-880 and 10-881
Flush type loudspeaker 10-880-01 and extension 10-881-01 can be substituted for old types 10-880
and 10-881 respectively. Note, however, that they cannot be combined. An old extension module will
not function with a new loudspeaker module and vice versa. The EEPROM memories can, however, be
copied. If you want to copy the data from an old EEPROM memory to a new EEPROM, please contact Niko
Customer Service. They will provide you with the necessary information.
