The external unit uses
• 2-wire cabling for systems with 1 audio external unit and max. 20 audio internal units.
• 3-wire cabling for systems with multiple audio external units or more than 20 audio internal
units.
• 6-wire cabling in combination with a camera (see camera manual)
Also pay attention to the diameter of the conductors in the cable as it determines the maximum distance
that can be bridged between the power supply and the external unit. Double pairs can be used to bridge
larger distances.
Niko recommends the use of the following cables for installation of the external unit:
• Diameter 0.8mm (SVV, JYSTY, TVVF...): max. distance 250m
• Diameter 0.6mm (TPVF...): max. distance 150m
• Diameter 0.5mm (UTP, FTP, STP...): max. distance 100m
For a video system, always use a twisted pair cable (see camera manual)
