DESCALING
Depending on the application frequency and the water
hardness, a white layer of lime scale may form in the steam
tank after a certain period of time. The steam tank is to be
checked prior to every application. Lime deposits must be
removed regularly, and no later than after 4 weeks if used
daily.
For descaling, citric acid-based descaling agents for
commercially available hot water devices can be used.
Please follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.
CAUTION
• Pronounced lime deposits can impair conductivity!
• Regular descaling assures the functionality of the
device!
• Please note that the steam tank may not be filled above
the maximum filling volume with the descaling agent!

• Only descale the device under permanent supervision!
• Only descale the device without the safety cap! Then
rinse the steam tank several times with clear water to
remove all residues of the descaling agent! Attention:
possible spray water / steam can cause scalding.
• Under no circumstances may lime deposits be removed
with sharp or other objects!
• If the lime deposits are so pronounced that they can no
longer be removed with descaling agents, please return
the device to the manufacturer for checking/processing!
• In case of malfunctions during descaling (for example,
overboiling of the steam tank) always disconnect the
mains plug first before touching the device!
