3.3.1. General location
It is advisable that the filters are installed below the level of water. In the event of vacuum generated within the
installation, it will be necessary to install tri-functional air-relief valves in the lids to avoid the collapse of the filters.
Filters must be placed so that their bases are perfectly level and completely supported by the floor (Fig. 2).
The technical room must keep enough space to permit periodic inspections and eventual maintenance actions on
the filters. We recommend keeping a free distance around the filters between 0.8 and 1 meter. Furthermore, there
must be a drain in the technical room that allows the evacuation of the water, in the event of leakage, of the water
that may come out from any pipe, filter, pump, etc. By this way, any risk of damaging the electrical installations
would be avoided for this reason (pumps, electrical boxes, etc.).
3.3.2. Butterfly valve manifold installation
If the operation of the filter is going to be performed by a battery of butterfly valves, proceed to assemble/mount
the batterie of valves avoiding forcing the flanges. The outlets must be checked to ensure they are in a correct
state and that they are properly clean from dirt, debris or other objects.
