DANGER!
Danger of injury due to the cutting bla-
des!
During transport, always keep the cutting
blade plate facing away from your body.
Cleaning
1
Once a week, thoroughly clean the automatic
lawnmower with a hand brush or cloth.
Contamination can impair the function of
the machine if not removed.
2
Once a week, check the cutting blades (2-11)
for damage.
ADVICE
Damage to the electrical/electronic
system by incorrect cleaning!
Do not clean the automatic lawnmower
with a high-pressure cleaner or under
running water. Water penetration can
cause irreparable damage to the switch,
battery, motors and circuit boards.
Checking contacts
1
If the contact surfaces (12-2) on the automa-
tic lawnmower are contaminated, clean them
with a cloth.
ADVICE
Charring on the contact surfaces indica-
tes a poor charging contact.
Bend the springs on the base station
outwards (11-1).
Cleaning the chassis
1
Thoroughly clean grass catcher (13-5) and
guide (13-7) using a hand brush or a cloth.
Check the rollers can move freely
1
Once a week, thoroughly clean the areas
around the rollers (13-1) with a hand brush or
cloth.
32
2
Check the rollers (13-1) can move and steer
freely.
If the rollers (13-1) do not move freely,
they must be freed up or renewed.
Checking the base station
1
Disconnect the transformer mains plug.
2
Check the contacts (11-1) on the base station
for contamination and clean using a cloth if
necessary.
3
Push the contacts towards the base station
and release.
The contacts must spring back into the
initial position.
ADVICE
If the contacts do not spring back into the
initial position, have them checked by an
AL-KO dealer, technician or service part-
ner, and renewed if necessary.
REPAIR
Repair work is only allowed to be carried out by
expert workshops or our AL-KO service centres.
Renewing the cutting blades
1
Switch off the automatic lawnmower (3-7).
2
Put down the automatic lawnmower with the
cutting blades pointing upwards.
3
Unscrew the screws (2-11) with a 5.5 mm
spanner.
4
Pull the cutting blades (14-5) out of the blade
seat.
5
Clean the blade seat with a soft brush.
6
Insert new blades and screw tight with the
screws.
As a rule, the clearer blades do not need
to be renewed.
In case of stubborn dirt that cannot be removed
with a brush, the blade plate (13-3) must be rene-
wed because an imbalance can lead to increased
wear and malfunctions.
ADVICE
Damage due to an incorrect repair!
If cutting blades are damaged and bent,
they are not allowed to be straightened.
