USE INDUCTION COOKING ZONES
Safety hob
– A sensor continuously measures the temperature of certain parts of
the hob. In case of temperatures rising too high, the power is reduced
automatically.
– As soon as you remove the pan from the hob, the cooking zone
automatically stops. Accustom yourself to stop the cooking zone or
hob manually to avoid unintended switching on of the induction
hob.
Safety pans
Every cooking zone is equipped with a sensor that measures the
temperature of the bottom of the pan to avoid any risk of overheating
when a pan boils dry.
Safety metal parts
A small part like a pan that is too little (smaller than 12 cm), a fork or a
spoon is not recognised as a pan by the induction hob. The display of the
cooking setting continues to flash and the zone will not switch on.
Overheatingprotection
The appliance may become overheated if:
– the pan does not conduct the heat adequately;
– fat or oil is heated at a high setting;
– there is insufficient circulation of air (see also ventilation protection
in the installation part of this manual).

USE INDUCTION COOKING ZONES
Cooking-time limiter (induction zones only)
The cooking-time limiter switches the cooking zones off after a certain
time, depending on the setting.
The time begins from the moment a setting has been selected. When a
new selection of a cooking setting is made, therefore, the time begins
again.
The table below shows the time taken before the cooking-time limiter
switches the cooking zone off at the various settings. This does not apply
to the (Powerboost) cooking setting. After 5 minutes, this automatically
switches down to
(boost).
