what you should pay attention to
general
Induction cooking is extremely safe. The heat is generated in
the pan. Thanks to this, the glass top does not become any
hotter than the contents of the pan and there is only a small
chance of you burning yourself on the appliance. There are,
however, a number of things you have to pay attention to,
just as for any other appliance.
when installing the appliance
This appliance should only be connected up by a registered
installer.

points are observed when it is installed:
• There should be sufficient ventilation (see page 9).
• The connection cable should hang freely and should not be
knocked against by a drawer.
• The worktop should be a minimum of 3.2 cm and a
maximum of 4 cm thick.
• The worktop should be flat.
• If the distance between the appliance and wall is less than
4 cm, the wall should be of a heatproof material. The heat
from a hot pan could discolour or damage the wall.
• Never open the casing of the appliance.

watches.
Bear in mind how quickly food heats up on the higher
settings. Always stay nearby if you have set a cooking zone
to a high setting (7, 8 or 9).
Never leave an empty pan on a cooking zone that is switched
on. Do not allow a pan to boil dry, either.
Although the cooking zone is protected against overheating,
the pan will get very hot, which may damage it.
Never use pans with a misshapen base. A hollow or rounded
base can interfere with the operation of the overheating
protection, so that the appliance becomes too hot. This may
lead to the glass top cracking and the pan base melting.
Damage arising from the use of unsuitable pans or from
boiling dry is excluded from the guarantee.
The ceramic cooking surface is very strong but not
unbreakable. It may be cracked if, for example, a spice jar or
pointed object falls on it.
Do not use the appliance if there are any cracks or splits in it.
Switch the appliance off immediately. Take the plug out of
the socket and phone the service department.
