Rip cuts
The combination blade provided with your saw is for both
cross cuts and rip cuts. Ripping is cutting lengthwise with
the grain of the wood. Rip cuts are easy to do with a rip
fence (Fig. 13). Rip fence is available as an accessory
(not included). To attach fence, insert fence through slots
in foot to desired width as shown and secure with the knob.

Rip board guide
When rip cutting large sheets, the rip fence may not allow
the desired width of cut. Clamp or nail a straight piece of
1" (25mm) lumber to the sheet as a guide (Fig. 14). Use
the right side of the foot against the board guide.

CAUTION
!
Never place the lock-on switch and battery into the
circular saw body before carrying out any tasks on the
tool, eg. blade change, maintenance, transport or storage
of the tool. Inadvertent operation of the switch may result
in injury when the battery is in the circular saw body.
Always pull the battery charger out of the mains socket
and remove the battery pack before you clean or
maintain the tool.
The HAUSSMANN cordless circular saw is
maintenance-free.
1. Always keep the tool clean, dry and free of oil or
grease.
2. Clean the tool immediately after you have finished
using it.
3. Do not allow any liquids to enter the tool. Use a
cloth to clean the housing.
4. Never use petrol, solvents or cleaning agents that
might damage plastic parts.
5. Store the tools, instruction manual and where
necessary the accessories in the original packaging.
That way you will always have all the information
and parts ready on hand.
Tips for maintaining maximum battery life
1. Charge the battery pack before it is completely discharged.
Always stop tool operation and charge the battery
pack when you notice less tool power.
2. Never recharge a fully charged battery pack.
Over-charging shortens the battery service life.
3. Charge the battery pack with room temperature at
10
down before charging it.
4. Charge the Nickel-cadmium battery pack when you
do not use it for more than six months.
