1. Place the grill on a suitably large work surface that is dry, level and heat-resis-
tant. The upper grill plate should be closed and the height adjustment clip should
be set to "OPEN". Plug the plug into a suitable socket, the red indicator light
"POWER" lights up and shows that the grill plates are heating up.
2. Turn the temperature control to the "SANDWICH" position so that the appliance
heats up.
3. During the heating phase you can prepare the sandwich. You can find a list of
recipes at the end of this guide.
4. Once the green indicator light "READY" lights up, the grill plates are optimally
preheated. Open the upper grill plate with the heat insulated handle and put in
the food. Make sure that the sandwich sits as far to the back of the grill plate
as possible.
5. Decide whether you want to toast the sandwich with the cover open or closed.
If you wish to toast the sandwich with the cover closed, press the upper grill plate
down onto the toast using the handle. Thanks to the self adjusting joint the plate
will adjust to the height of the sandwich, ensuring even grilling. Toast your sand-
wich as desired for about 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the type of filling.
6. Note: With SOLIS Smart Grill Pro you can grill with the lid open or closed. The
ribs of the grill plates give the sandwich the typical barbecue grill-stripes.
7. Once you wish to remove the toast, open the grill using the heat insulated
handle. Lift out the sandwich using wooden tongs or a wooden spoon. Never
use a metal fork or knife since this could damage the non-stick coating.

Using the clip for height adjustment you can set the upper grill plate to the exact
height desired. With this device you can also cook delicate foods such as fish, wit-
hout crushing them. Of course, you can also use the height adjustment when
browning toasts and always when the weight of the grill plate will not benefit the
food being grilled.
1. Set the temperature control to "SEAR" or "SANDWICH", depending on the dish.
The red indicator light "POWER" lights up.
2. Once the green indicator light "READY" lights up, open the lid and place the
sandwich or food to be grilled on the lower grill plate.
3. Move the height adjustment clip towards the back, before you lower the lid back
down. The further back you push the clip away from you, the higher the upper
grill plate will be fixed. The lowest position is "LOW" and the highest is "HIGH".
You can set 7 different heights.
