Procedure when fabricating dental framework
For maximum fitting accuracy, the specific expansion/shrinkage
value is given on the blanks.
When machining the blanks in milling machines, it is recom-
mended to only use cutters with sufficient cutting edge
quality.
▷ Depending on requirement in the respective CAM software, enter
the appropriate value.
In case of uncertainties, contact your CAM supplier.
▷ Mill the blanks with the milling machine applying the milling strate-
gies provided for the material.
Removal from the blank
Utmost care must be taken when removing the frames from the blank:
▷ Separate the frames by grinding them out using a turbine grinder
(without water-cooling) and a pointed diamond bit (do not use cut-
ting discs).
For trimming and dressing the connectors and smoothing out the
frames, we recommend using a polishing set.
Colouration of the white zirconium oxide
▷ Depending on requirement, partially or completely stain the white
zirconium oxide frames prior to the sintering with dye solution.
