8 | Cleaning the Device

Partial Cleaning

It is not necessary to disassemble the for partial cleaning. Cleaning with
compressed air or a high-pressure cleaner is not permitted.
1. Clean the jaws with a cloth or brush.
2. Remove the jaws from the jaw guides one at a time.
Ø Here, observe the order 3-2-1 or 4-3-2-1 or 6-5-4-3-2-1.
3. Thoroughly clean the jaws with a cloth soaked in petroleum or benzine.
4. Thoroughly clean the jaw guides with a cloth soaked in petroleum or
benzine.
5. Use a brush to lubricate the jaw guides on the body (1) and the jaws
and jaw toothing with grease F 80.
6. Insert the jaws one at a time (see ).
Ø Here, observe the order 1-2-3 or 1-2-3-4 or 6-5-4-3-2-1.
7. Go through the entire jaw stroke at least twice.
Ø The grease is distributed.
Ø After 400 clamping cycles, move through the complete stroke again
at least twice.
ü The jaw guides are lubricated.

work clothes and gloves.
Ø Avoid skin contact with lubricants.
