Adjusting the Low Setting
Adjustment to the low setting (setting "1") is necessary when
converting a unit from one type of fuel to another. Proper
adjustment to this setting is necessary to ensure that the burner
flame does not go out when moving the Temperature Control
rapidly between the highest and lowest setting. The low setting
adjustment screw is located behind the Temperature Control knob.
1. Perform the "Lighting a Burner" procedure in this section.
2. Push in and turn the Temperature Control counterclockwise
to the maximum setting of "10".
• Leave the unit at this setting for 2–3 minutes.
3. Turn the Temperature Control
clockwise to the lowest setting of
"1".
4. Remove the Temperature Control
knob by pulling straight out.
5. Using a small
screwdriver, make the appropriate
changes to the adjustment screw
setting:
• Turning the adjustment screw
counterclockwise
the flame height. Turning the
adjustment screw clockwise
decreases the flame height.
• For proper adjustment o n the
lowest setting, the flame should
be approximately a half a pin head
above each burner hole.
• For propane units: turn the adjustment screw fully
clockwise.
• For natural gas units: while watching the burner flame
beneath the griddle, turn the adjustment screw in
3/4-turn increments in the appropriate direction to reach
the proper setting.
6. Replace the Temperature Control knob.

Safety Thermocouple

To ensure safe operation of the gas crepe maker, the end of the
safety thermocouple must be positioned in the flame 1-1/16"
(27 mm) above the mounting bracket.

Ignition Spark Plug

For proper ignition of the burner, make sure the ignition spark
plug is positioned 1/8" (3 mm) above the safety thermocouple.
