OPERATION

MACHINE OPERATION

FOR SAFETY: Do not operate machine unless
operator manual is read and understood.

PRE- OPERATION CHECKS

1. Vacuum the floor and remove any debris.
2. Inspect the power cord for damage. Replace
immediately if damaged.
3. Check that the spray bar is installed.
4. Inspect the spray tips for proper spray pattern
(See MACHINE MAINTENANCE).

OPERATING MACHINE

1. Turn the key and the solution pump switch to the
ON position (Figure 7).
2. Select the desired cleaning mode by pressing the
cleaning mode/travel switch towards the Surface
Clean or Deep Clean Mode symbol (Figure 8).
SURFACE CLEAN MODE: Use this mode
for routine surface cleaning. This mode allows you
to operate the machine at a cleaning pace up to
100 ft. per minute.
DEEP CLEAN MODE: Use this mode for
restoring soiled carpets. This mode requires you
to operate the machine at a slower cleaning pace
up to 50 ft. per minute.
TRAVEL MODE: Use this mode to
transport machine. This mode will automatically
shut off the vacuum, solution and brush and raise
the brush base to the travel position.

3. Position the cleaning function switch to the
Brush/Solution/Vacuum symbols (Figure 9).

BRUSH, SOLUTION AND VACUUM:
Use this position when surface and deep cleaning.
BRUSH AND SOLUTION: Use this
position when double scrubbing is necessary.
Double scrubbing is a cleaning method of making
two or more passes over a heavily soiled area
without the use of vacuum pick up. This process
allows the solution to work deep into the soiled area.
VACUUM: Use this position when only
vacuum pick up is necessary, primarily after the
double scrubbing process.
4. Turn the speed control knob to the slowest setting
to avoid an abrupt take-off when starting to clean
(Figure 10).
5. To begin cleaning, rotate the control grips
completely forward and gradually turn the speed
control knob to the desired cleaning speed
(Figure 10). The maximum speed is preset for
each cleaning mode. The Deep Clean Mode
cleans at 50 ft. per minute while the Surface Clean
Mode cleans at 100 ft. per minute.
