To detach the boiler, press the locking down (see ✎ A 7.1) and turn the
boiler clockwise by 90° (see ✎ A 7.2).
Never heat water during travel. Exert caution when emptying the
water heater!
Danger of scalding (see ✎ A 8).
To ensure fast heating and extend the operating life of the heating spiral,
descale the water heater after using it approx. 30–40 times. Noticeable
indications for the need to descale the water heater are:
– extended time to boiling point,
– increased boiling noise,
– visible deposits at the bottom.
Only use biological agents for descaling for health and ecological
reasons.
Never use hydrocloric acid or sulphuric acid for descaling.
Bring the descaling agent to a boil, repeat the process up to three times
(note the application and dosing instructions given by the manufacturer).
Then bring clear water to a boil two or three times.
– Do not pour in water when the water heater is hot
(wait approx. 10 minutes).
– Then rinse the water container and the lid with hot water.
Correct solder connections
To connect a cable to the original cables:
1. strip 10 mm of insulation from the original cable (see ✎ B 1),
2. strip 15 mm of insulation from the cable to be connected (see ✎ B 2),
3. wrap the cable to be connected around the original cable and solder
(see ✎ B 3),
4. Insulate the cable using insulating tape (see ✎ B 4).
To connect 2 cables together:
1. strip both cables (see ✎ B 5),
2. pull a shrink hose of approx. 20 mm length over a cable (see ✎ B 6),
3. twist both cables and solder (see ✎ B 7),
4. push the shrink hose over the solder point and slightly heat (see ✎ B 8).
