Assembly procedure for rotary actuator

1. Push the magnet holder (2) onto the shaft stump of the rotary actuator and fix it
with a hexagon socket head screw (4) and a washer (3) to the shaft stump.
2. Insert the plastic washer (5) in the rotary magnet (6) and snap the rotary magnet
(6) onto the magnet holder (2). It now rotates easily on the magnet holder.
3. Push the clamping ring (7) over the rotary magnet (6) so that the spring elements
(7a) are opposite the hook (6a) on the rotary magnet and snap in. The clamping
ring and the rotary magnet are now hard to turn.
4. After correct assembly and a console according to VDI/VDE 3845, the spacing
between the top edge of the rotary magnet and the top edge of the console is set
automatically to 3 mm.
5. If you use a console which deviates from the standard, you have to leave
appropriate space underneath the NCS with a suitable extension for the shaft
stump or washers.
6. If you want to retrofit a SIPART PS2 positioner, install the EMC filter module in
the SIPART PS2 positioner according to the enclosed installation instructions.
