10. Operation
When using the product for the first time, slight odor and smoke can occur. That is normal and will only last
for a short time.
• Make sure that the on/off (5) switch is in position O (off).
• Install the product on a flat, stable, clean and dry surface.
• Measure the required amount of water using the measuring cup (8) provided.
The amount of water depends on the number of eggs and the desired hardness.
Select 1 to 7 eggs and select soft, medium or hard. Each of these three degrees has their own scale on the
measuring cup.
Fill the measuring cup with clear, cold water until the corresponding marking.
• Pour the water onto the hob on the top of the base unit (6).
• Install the egg tray (7) on the base unit.
• Use the egg piercer (9) to pierce a small hole into the bottom of the eggs to be cooked.
• Then place the eggs on the tray. The hole in the egg must face down.
• Place the lid (1) on the base unit. Both handles (2, 3) must be aligned flush on top of each other.
• Connect the power plug (4) to a common household power outlet.
Please remember that keeping the product in horizontal position during use is necessary in order to
guarantee a precise cooking time.
• Turn on the product by setting the on/off switch to I (on) position. The indicator lights up. The product will start boiling
the water on the hob.
Caution! Hot steam escapes from the opening in the lid. There is a risk of scalding!
• Once all the water has been evaporated, an alarm will sound.
• Turn off the product by setting the on/off switch to O (off) position. The indicator turns off.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains.
Caution! The parts of the product are very hot now. Only hold by the handles. Risk of burning!
• Remove the lid.
Caution! Hot steam escapes. There is a risk of scalding!
• Remove the egg tray.
• Rinse the eggs under cold water.
• Let the product cool down completely before storing it away.
