Please take time to read this installation manual before you install AAA-LUX products.
The AAA-LUX products must be installed by a professional electrician in accordance with the applicable and appropriate
electrical codes and the instructions provided by AAA-LUX. AAA-LUX components can be under dangerously high voltage. This
applies to both the parts in the power supply box as well as the light generating parts.
The installation guide does not supersede local or (inter)national regulations for electrical installations.
This manual contains information you have to observe to ensure your personal safety, as well as to prevent damage to property.
The information referring to your personal safety is highlighted in the manual by a safety alert symbol, information referring
only to property damage has no safety alert symbol. The information shown below is graded according to the degree of danger.
DANGER
During mounting or aligning, please make sure that you keep your distance from the light source.
Photobiological hazard: The product fit in Risk group 2: Do not stare at the operating light source (according to EN62471 and
IEC TR 62778). The luminaire should be positioned so that prolonged staring into luminaire at a distance closer than 26 m is
not expected.
Before installation, maintenance or cleaning, always first switch off or disconnect the power and follow appropriate safety
procedures.
DANGER
The light generating parts can become very warm and therefore cause burns. Allow the luminaire to cool-down for at least
half an hour before aligning or de-installation.
Provide a suitable lighting surge arrester for cables installed in hazardous areas.
Maintenance
Maintenance should we executed by AAA-LUX certified partners according to technical paper TP11.
The light source or electrical parts in the luminaire shall only be replaced by the AAA-LUX certified partners or AAA-LUX.
If the external flexible cable or cord of the luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the AAA-LUX certified
partners or AAA-LUX in order to avoid a hazard.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Do not wipe the product with a dirty or very wet dishcloth or towel because they
may leave residue that can damage the product.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach or cleaners containing chlorine because they can scratch and damage the
product.
DISCLAIMER
However, mast mounting, and the design remains the responsibility of the installer. This includes mechanical strength of mast,
profiles, and headframes. Influence of the construction to wind load, variations of light plans and luminaire types.
