The plate has a temperature limiter. It
switches the plate off if the glass plate
reaches a temperature that is too high.
This can happen when you:
- use unsuitable pans, e.g. with convex,
concave or very reflective bases.
- switch on the appliance without a pan
on it.
After the appliance has cooled down, it
will switch itself on again.

The values shown are averages and
based on quantities for 4 persons. You
should select a higher setting for larger
quantities, using inferior pans or boiling
without a lid. Select a lower setting for
smaller quantities.

When you switch on the zone the
indicator light comes on. This goes out
again as soon as you turn the knob to 0.
The residual heat indicator light stays on
as long as the glass plate is hot. The light
also stays on if you switch the zone off. It
goes out only when the glass plate has
reached a safe temperature.
