When possible, caulk the outside of the installation with industrial type caulking to prevent weather
leaks.

before full insertion. Stuff the chassis seal gasket (Item # 14) 1" deep between the chassis and the
cabinet. Begin at either bottom corner and go up the side, across the top, and down the opposite side.
It is important that this gasket be properly installed as it prevents air leakage around the chassis be-
tween the outdoors and the indoors. Push the chassis into the shell the remaining 3" so that the plastic
front shrouds the front edge of the cabinet (See Figure I, Page 8).

Reattach the chassis retainer with the same screw as Step 3 (See Figure A, Page 3).

discretion, the supply cord can be made to exit the right side of the unit. To do this, remove the black
rubber coated cord clamp from under the far left screw (See Figure J, Page 8). Replace this screw
back into the far left screw hole. Route the supply cord through the top of the return air grille clips and
reattach the clamp and chassis retainer under the far right screw. (See Figure J, Page 8).
