working along the profile of the rim, until the bead engages on the tool (see Fig.
M/2).
5- Move the tool a little away from the rim to prevent damage to the sensor (if
any), then turn the chuck until the valve is at the 12 o'clock position.
6- With the wheel at a standstill, move the hook tool slowly back until the laser
pointer is outside the rim.
Then raise the hook until it is above the upper edge of the rim.
To further simplify demounting, move back a few mm towards the centre of the
rim (see Fig. M/3).
WARNING!
Proceed with care in this stage to avoid applying excessive
stress to the tyre.
7- Check that the entire circumference of the tyre bead is inserted in the well of
the rim.
Otherwise, use the mobile tyre presser, set at 180° in relation to the tool, to
achieve this (see Fig. M/4).
8- Start clockwise rotation and continue until the first bead is completely
demounted.
9- Release the bead from the hook by hand.
10- Move the tool back until the laser is realigned with the edge of the rim (see Fig.
M/5).
11- Turn the chuck until the valve is at the 12 o'clock position.
12- Raise the top carriage completely until it is in the out-of-use position.
13- Lift the bottom bead breaker disc to about 10 mm above the upper edge of
the rim (see Fig. M/6).
N.B.: Facilitate this operation by lifting the tyre by hand at 6 o'clock (see Fig.
M/7).
14- Turn the chuck clockwise until the tyre has come completely out of the rim.
N.B.: Facilitate this operation by simultaneously lifting the bottom of the tyre at
about 2 o'clock and guiding its rotation (see Fig. M/8).
15- Make a thorough inspection of the pressure sensor (if any).
Replace it if damage is found.
16- Move the lower bead breaker disc away to the rest position.
