Inserting the welding fire in S-MIG 250

Check that the grooves on the wire feed roll match the wire diameter, if
necessary remove the fixing of the wire coil by loosening the screws.

Now lower the pressure element and tighten the knob until the wire runs
evenly on the rolls. If the wire slips on the rolls, tighten the knob further.
Caution:
Do not tighten the element too much, as excessive pressure on the
rolls may damage the wire feed motor.

Switch on the welding device. (ON/OFF switch)

After making sure that all security measures have been taken, proceed as
follows, depending on the model:

In the case of S-MIG250P and S-MIG250 the gas and power nozzle have to
be removed from the hose bundle and the current controller along with wire
feed speed regulator should be put on Stage 1. Now hold the INCHING
switch until the wire slides out from the tip of the hose bundle. Then put the
power and gas nozzle back on.

Set the required volume of gas at the valve of the gas cylinder.
Tip
(0.6 mm wire > 6 l/h), (0.8 mm wire > 8 l/h), (1.0 mm wire > 10 l/h)

The device is now ready for welding.
General information about gas-shielded welding
The main area of use is in workshops, universally as well as for thinner metal sheets
and thicker materials. The more welding levels the device offers, the more effective it
is with sheet metal.

Required accessories

Mixed-gas CO2/argon, welding wire, welding shield, pressure regulator. With approp-
riate gas and wire the process is also suitable for aluminium and stainless steel. (Pure
argon/VA wire/aluminium wire), potentiometer.
Precautions for operating the device
Use the device only after you have read the manual carefully.
Observe all safety precautions listed in the manual.
You should behave responsibly towards other people.
Caution!!! Never use corroded welding wires.
