1. INTRODUCTION
The GFN is a new cast-iron boiler that burns solid fuel
(coke and wood) or oil (with optional kit). The boiler shell
is composed of parts assembled with nipples. The pro-
file of these parts has been specially designed and the
optimal division of the fins provides high heat efficiency,
high heat output and considerable energy savings. The
firebox has been specifically designed to accommodate
large pieces of wood; it is loaded through the large top
door. The firebox is completely wet, which ensures a
long service life and high efficiency.
An optional kit, consisting of a new front door with safety
shutoff switch and a new control panel, is available for
mounting an oil burner directly on the boiler.
An optional safety overheating is also available (fig. 1).
