5. Service work
5.1
Inspection
IMPORTANT
Once a year take the vehicle to an
authorised workshop, which will
carry out the appropriate inspec-
tions and tests using the workshop
manual.
5.2
Servicing / Visual
inspection
IMPORTANT
At the start of cold weather treat the
cover seal and the cable passages
to the exterior emergency release
cable with a rubber care product.
The regular visual inspection
includes checking the following:
•
Check the cover for damage,
cracks, etc.
•
Check the closing area for for-
eign bodies, dirt and moisture
ingress
•
Check the cover seal to ensure
that it is correctly positioned and
undamaged, particularly around
the strut

•
Check the safety cable to en-
sure that it is undamaged and
properly secured to the frame
•
Check the wiring harness for the
cover assembly for chafing,
particularly near the drive cable
•
Check the exterior emergency
release handle to ensure it is
correctly positioned
