Replace the battery of the flexible-tip thermometer as described below.
Note: The battery of the soother thermometer cannot be replaced. If the battery is empty, discard the
soother thermometer.

Remove the battery compartment cover (Fig. ).
Use an insulated probe to remove the battery (e.g. a toothpick).
Insert a new battery (LR41) with the + pole facing upwards (Fig. ).

Reattach the battery compartment cover (Fig. 4).

Dispose of the empty battery in the proper way (see chapter 'Environment).
Environment

Non-rechargeable batteries contain substances that may pollute the environment. Do not throw
away non-rechargeable batteries with the normal household waste, but dispose of them at an
official collection point for batteries. Always remove the non-rechargeable batteries before you
discard and hand in the thermometers at an official collection point.

Do not throw away the thermometers with the normal household waste at the end of their life,
but hand them in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve
the environment (Fig. 5).
