Putting the appliance into operation

3.1

Unpacking / Disposing of packaging

The appliance is delivered in a box, packed in moulded polystyrene foam. First of
all check that all parts are included and undamaged:
•
Upper part of the Hood dryer, model M41
•
Hood dryer, model M41 Operating Instructions
The tripod base ST3/ST5  and tripod pipe ST3/ST5  , tripod adapter ST3/ST5
 and wall arm  are not packed together with the drying hood type M41, but
in separate boxes.
If the consignment has been damaged in transit, please contact Technical
Customer Service. We recommend that you retain the packaging during the
guarantee period in case the appliance needs to be returned. If you would like to
dispose of the packaging, please ask at your local waste disposal site.
3.2

Mounting

Pedestal adapter
We recommend that you have the pedestal adapter STA1  ST3/ST5 mounted
on the Hood dryer, model M41 by a specialist (electrician, technical expert) or
staff with a comparable qualification.
First of all, have the pedestal adapter STA1  ST3/ST5 mounted to the Hood
dryer, model M41 according to the valid mounting instructions..
Pedestal version
Mount the pedestal according to the mounting instructions for the pedestal base
ST3/ST5  / the pedestal tube ST3/ST5  . Then mount the Hood dryer, model
M41 on the pedestal tube ST3/ ST5  using the pedestal adapter STA1 
ST3/ST5.
Wall-mounted version and special mounting elements
The wall-mounted version and the special mounting elements require correct
electrical installation and secure fixing to the wall. These versions should
therefore only be mounted by a specialist (electrician, technical expert) or staff
with a comparable qualification according to the valid mounting and operating
instructions.
WARNING – Sudden release of spring arm (only wall-
mounted version and special mounting elements):
•
The spring arm of the wall-mounted version and the special
mounting elements contain a powerful spring. When the Hood
dryer, model M41 is dismantled, the spring arm is suddenly
released upwards and may cause serious injury.
•
The Hood dryer, model M41 may only be mounted / dismantled
by a specialist (electrician, technical expert) or staff with a
comparable qualification according to the valid instructions.
