Fire risk
Ensure that the temperature resistance of the fixing
wall is at least 85 °C and that of the floor is at least
80 °C.
10.1.1 Floor
The installation area of the appliance must be even and have
sufficient load-bearing capacity to prevent the casing buckling.
»
Ensure the stability of the appliance by a wall or floor fixing.

Installation on a non-load-bearing wall
For wall mounting, there is a hole in the appliance back panel
near the control panel. Using a suitable screw, the appliance can
be fixed to the wall and thus secured against tipping over.
Alternatively the appliance can be fixed to the floor or, for
installation with base panels, to the panels, through the four holes
(Ø9 mm) in the appliance feet. For this, the air outlet and inlet
grilles and the air routing assembly must be removed in advance.

10.2.1 Securing the appliance with ground clearance using
wall retainers
Prior to installing the appliance, secure two wall retainers to
the fixing wall, taking the safety clearances into account (for
dimensions see diagram and/or chapter "Specification").
Risk of damage
!
Check the wall is load-bearing.
With this type of installation, observe the following:
If a load-bearing wall is available, the appliance can be fixed to
the installation wall using the wall retainers provided. For this,
the following applies:
ETW 120 – 360 = The weight of the appliance is supported by the
wall retainer.
ETW 420 – 480 = The weight of the appliance must be borne by
a support panel.
For a wall with a limited load-bearing capacity, a support
panel is also required for the ETW 120 – 360 appliances (special
accessories).
10.2.2 Installation with base panels
If no suitable fixing wall is available, secure the appliance to the
floor with the Vario floor panel (special accessory). Secure the
appliance to the panel and the panel to the floor.
