Correcting faults yourself
The motor of the appliance is equipped with a
thermal cut-out which automatically switches off
the motor if it overheats. In this case, complete
the following steps:
1
Switch off the appliance and disconnect the
mains plug from the wall socket.
2 Look for the cause of the overheating (blocked
hoses/tubes, dirty filter, etc.).
3 Remove any blockages; if necessary clean the
filter.
4 Leave the motor to cool for approx. 1 hour.
5 Insert the power plug into the wall socket and
switch the appliance on. It should now work.
6 If the appliance cannot be switched on, wait
for another 30 minutes and try again.
7 If the appliance still won't work, please contact
your dealer or the GRUNDIG service centre.
Caution
If your appliance vacuums large objects (like
napkins, tissues, etc.) the air channels may get
blocked and the suction power decreases sud-
denly.
In this case switch off the appliance and discon-
nect the mains plug from the wall socket.
Cord and hose storage
There is a convenient parking slot located at the
rear of the vacuum cleaner where the floor tool
and hose can be parked for carrying and sto-
rage.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long
period of time, please store it carefully.
Make sure that the appliance is unplugged.
Do not wrap the power cord around the appli-
ance; rewind the power cord as described in the
'Operation' section.
Always store the appliance base down.
Store it in a cool, dry place.
Make sure the appliance is always kept out of
the reach of children.

and Disposing of the Waste Product

Directive (2012/19/EU). This product
bears a classification symbol for waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
This product has been manufactured with
high quality parts and materials which can be reused
and are suitable for recycling. Do not dispose of the
waste product with normal domestic and other
wastes at the end of its service life. Take it to the
collection center for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. Please consult your local
authorities to learn about these collection centers.
