3.5. Authorized fuel. The appliance must not be used as an incinerating device. Only logs of
natural wood are recommended, humidity within 12 and 20 %. It is highly recommended the use
of at least 2 year-old logs. The use of other types of fuel is forbidden, as well as any liquid used to
light barbecue fires. Their maximum length might not be longer than 500 mm.
3.6. Loading and reload fuel. It must take into account the maximum authorised load of fuel (H-
table), ensuring that when the recharge it does not exceed 200 mm in height taking care not to
exceed either in quantity or size to the data specified above. To make the procedure ignition
follow these steps: placing the fuel load on the central area of the grate, open the primary and
secondary air inlet maximum and then fire pledge (USE ONLY THE ELEMENTS FOR THIS

3.7. Mechanism blockage. Check all working parts, especially those that could jam after long
periods of inactivity: door handle, air controls, flue connections all operate correctly. Check the
external air intake is not blocked.
3.8. Cleaning and maintenance.
3.8.1. Glass cleaning. Let the fire burn out completely before cleaning. Do not allow cleaning
product to remain in contact with the appliance surface or the rope seal. Due to the

3.8.2. Clean the inside of the module (G-21,G-22). The dirt that is deposited on the inner walls
of the appliance decreases the heat exchange, is needed a periodic cleaning with a wire brush

the dirt. Once cleaning the inner surface ensure the correct placement of the gate valve.
3.8.3. Cleaning smoke pipe (G-23). It is necessary to clean the combustion chamber and
smoke pipe when they are dirty, or at least once per season. For cleaning it, you have remove
the gate valve following the instructions on point 3.2.3.
3.8.4. Emptying the bucket ash box. The ash tray can be removed from the top or bottom, for
that follow these steps:
3.8.4.1. Upper extraction (inside combustion chamber). To do this we must first lift gate (G-
24) with the help of the tool provided, then lift and pull the tray straight off (G-25). Empty the ash
box when the appliance is completely off, careful not contain the ashes still smoldering
embers and may result in fire and in any case may deposit them in a metal bucket.
3.8.4.2. Lower extraction. The bottom of the cup extraction is done by opening the hatch which
is at the bottom of the module (G-26).
3.8.5. Painting. The exothermic paint lining the inside and outside the appliance supporting up
600 ° C temperature and shows a slight characteristic odor that disappears early on.
It is also possible that after some time, the paint inside the fireplace wears off due to the liquid

3.9. In case of fire. We must not approach any flammable element nearer 1000 mm from any

3.10. Operating in adverse weather. It is possible that in certain weather conditions the
appliance may not operate correctly, insufficient flue draft may cause puffs of smoke from the air
inlets, close both the air inlets and shut down the appliance.
