6.9 ELECTRIC SYSTEM
- Battery
Check electrolyte level and keep it topped up so that the battery elements are
always covered. Add distilled water with the engine switched off and with no
naked flames nearby. Check battery clamp fixing performance and keep the
terminals greased with Vaseline. Keep the battery clean and if the tractor has to
be inactive for a long time, remove the battery and store it in a cool dry place.
- Clogging gauge of the engine air filter
Check that the clogging gauge of the engine air filter is in the correct position
and, if it is serviced, make sure that it is correctly assembled and protected
against the outdoor weather conditions as indicated in fig.3.
It is essential for the cable connecting to the electrical system of the machine N°
1 fig.3 to come out of the lower part of the actual gauge itself. The engine air
intake circuit could be seriously damaged if the protection is installed in the
wrong position.
- Fuses
Before changing a fuse, find and eliminate the short circuit that caused it to blow.
The fuses protect the following circuits: (Fig.28):
A = optional power supply (10A).
B = -15 direction indicators hazard light switch power supply parking brake indicator
light switch – brake lights off (15A).
C = front rh – rear lh side light. 7-pin socket. rh number plate light. cab connector
(10A)
D = front lh – rear rh side light. 7-pin sockets. lh number plate light. cab connector.
multi-function instrument lighting (10A).
E = mod. 70 – 70F:
advance variator relay power supply multi-function panel engine stop solenoid.
front-wheel drive engagement indicator light switch. p.t.o. indicator light switch
alternator off. pre-heating control plant (7,5A).
E = mod. 50 – 50F:
engine stop solenoid power supply, multifunction panel. p.t.o. indicator light switch
front drive engagement indicator
F = cab connector power supply (10A).
G = lh dipped beam headlight (7,5A).
H = rh dipped beam headlight (7,5A)
I = work light power supply (20A).
L = horn – lights selector power supply. 1-pin socket. 7-pin socket (10A).
M = cab connector power supply. +30 direction indicators hazard light switch. main
beam flasher (15A).
N = left/right main beam. main beam indicator light (15A).
The tractor has a main 50A knife blade fuse inside the cab on the right of the air
deflector. This fuse protects the entire electric system.
light switch. pre-heating control plant (7,5A)
