4.4 Tests before commissioning:
In test mode, no safety device is active and all equipment items can be controlled individually.
Boiling water can be sent to showers and these can be opened remotely, without the operator
being able to see whether people are situated under. Perfect understanding of the system
and safety precautions must be taken before executing this test phase.
To ensure the proper commissioning of the installation, it is mandatory to use the test
mode of the PLC
to carry out the following inspections if applicable
At every start-up of the test mode, all outputs are
Control the opening of the safety solenoid valves (at the
mixing valve outlet) and verify the operation of showers by
opening them manually.
Check the automatic opening of the shower groups (let them
flow for several minutes to properly bleed the air from the
shower control system). Automatic closing is not
instantaneous (approximately 30 s).
Check the closing of the solenoid valves stops the operation
of the showers in a time less than 20 s
Check the operation of the draining solenoid valve.
Check the operation of 3-way valves. When they are open,
the centralised mixing valves provide lukewarm water.
Water is hot when they are closed.
Check the position state control of 3-way valves
(open/closed) on the PLC
Verify the operation of the loop draining solenoid valve.
Check the operation of the hot water production
control
Circulation pump control inspection
Verifying the transmission of temperature information by T°A
and T°B sensors
Verify the operation of presence detectors. During a
detection, the information is visible only for one second on
the PLC.
Checking auxiliary inputs if used.
After these tests, define the parameters presented in the chapter 5.1.3 Setting up the system
