3.5. Mounting
The pump may be installed submerged or out of the water. The maximum depth must not exceed 1
m. However, it is not self-priming and, if set up out of the water, has to be installed below the
water surface level. In any case, dry running of the pump must be prevented since this would
destroy the bearings after a short period. This works quite well by using the top up unit Niveaumat.
A holder for holding the float comes pre-installed
The pump head can be fitted to the pump on 4 sides. The pressure fitting has to point to the top.
After setting up the pump, ensure you can always reach the power plug easily.
Safety advices
The pump is constructed for indoor aquarium use only. Before working
on the aquarium or pump, the power plug must be disconnected from
the mains.
The connection cable and the power plug must not be changed. If the power cable is
damaged, the pump must be scrapped.
If the pump is used submerged, the filter (5), tube and /or hose connection (8/10)
must be used.
