7.5. Calibrate pressure sensor
The VAC control automatic pressure sensor may be calibrated.
To this end you need an accurate vacuum gauge which is installed in the vacuum line between
vacuum pump and VAC control automatic vacuum fitting.
7.5.1. Calibrate atmospheric pressure
Remove vacuum hose from VAC control automatic.
7.5.2. Low value calibration
Connect vacuum hose with VAC control automatic and start vacuum pump. Pressure decreases to
lowest possible level as achieved by the vacuum pump.
If vacuum pump does not reach a pressure of less than 100 mbar, calibration is
discontinued; an error report appears in the Act Vac display.
Discontinue regulation, aerate rotary evaporator.
Turn VAC control automatic power switch OFF. Depress "Set" key, hold
depressed while turning power switch ON. The "Act Vac" display shows
your firmware's version number.
Depress "Set" key, "CAL" is displayed.
Depress arrow key "Up", present atmospheric pressure appears in the
"Act Avp" display; "Set Vac" display shows "HI"
Copy pressure gauge reading with arrow keys
Complete calibration by hitting the "Set" key.
Turn power switch OFF. Depress "Set" key, hold and turn power switch
ON. The "Act Vac" display shows your firmware's version number.
Depress "Set" key, "CAL" is displayed.
Depress arrow key "down", present pressure appears in the "Act Vac"
display. "Set Vac" display shows "LO".
