The amount of grease required is 550 g.
NB: The spindle shaft is in an "oil chamber" that ensures constant lubrication
performance.
The oil is added by the manufacturer when the machine is factory commissioned
and no topping up will be required unless there have been leaks caused by break-
ages. In this case, top up with ordinary oil (e.g., SAE 40) through the filler plug
(1, Fig. Y).
PROBLEM
When you switch the machine on with the main switch on the console, nothing happens.
CAUSES
1) The plung has not been connected to the power socket.
2) No electricity delivered from the mains.
REMEDIES
1) Insert the plug into the power supply socket.
2) Do whatever is required to re-establish mains supply.
PROBLEM
When you switch the machine on with the main switch on the console, the car-
riage movement hydraulic controls do not work.
CAUSES
1) The overload cut-out for the hydraulic pump motor has tripped.
2) The hydraulic pump motor turns in the opposite direction to that shown by the
arrow (1, Fig. L).
3) Insufficient hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic plant reservoir.
REMEDIES
1) Reset the overload cut-out by pressing the green button (1, Fig. B).
2) Have an electrician switch two wires in the plug.
3) Top it up to level following the instructions given in the section on "MAINTE-
NANCE" of this manual.
PROBLEM
When you switch the machine on with the main switch on the console, spindle
rotation does not work.
CAUSES
1) Spindle motor overload cut-out has tripped.
REMEDIES
1) Reset the overload cut-out by pressing the green button (2, Fig. B).
WARNING: If, inpite of the above mentioned indications the tyre changer does not work properly, do not use it
and contact your nearest technical assistance centre.
