Making a bag from a
FoodSaver
You can make your own custom sized bags from a
FoodSaver
1. Plug your food preservation system into the
mains supply socket and press the Power button
(the power light comes on).

2. Move the latch
( ). If you haven't already done so, open the
lower seal and cut bar
and insert the FoodSaver
area

indicator line.
Note: The visible FoodSaver
see how much bag material you have left, so you
can quickly see when you will need to replace a
roll or purchase more.
3. Push the lower seal and cut bar back into the
appliance until it stops. Move the latch to the
seal position (
seal. The seal light pulses while the seal is being
made. When the seal light goes out the end of
the roll will now have been sealed.
4. Move the latch to the unlock position ( ). Pull
the roll out of the dispenser
length for the item being packaged. Add an
extra 75mm to allow the bag to be sealed then
slide the roll cutter
Tip: Each time you move the latch to the seal
position you create the seal for your next bag,
making continuous bag making a simpler
process.
You can then start to use your food preservation
system (refer to 'Using your Food Preservation
System').
