Ask the manufacturer for advice concerning any modification to one or more elements of the filtration
system.
The level of sand in the sand filter tank should not exceed 2/3 of the height of the tank.
When assembling the pool to fit a filtration system through the wall, the following operations should be
performed:
after installing the sheet metal, use sheet metal shears to cut out holes for the skimmer and outlet;
file down the cut edges;
apply a rust-prevention product to the places where cuts have been made;
position the skimmer at the exterior of the pool. It should be held in position by the two shortest bolts
in the sachet of screws, bolts and associated hardware to be found in the "Skimmer Assembly" box.
Do not forget to fit the rubber seals between the sheet metal and the skimmer;
install the liner.
When filling the pool, once the level of water has reached 5 or 6cm from the outlet, install the outlet as
follows (as illustrated in diagram 2):
Cut the liner to accommodate the outlet using a cutting knife (as shown in diagram), and fold the cut
edges over the wall.
From within the pool, position the rubber seal and outlet.
From outside the pool, fit the rubber seal and plastic securing nut.
Fit the threaded union (apply Teflon tape to the threading) outside the pool.
Fit the annelated pipe and tightening collar.
Connect the annelated pipe to the valve (swimming pool return line) of the sand-based purifier
(threaded union with Teflon tape applied to it, and tightening collar).
NOTE! All threaded unions should have Teflon tape applied to their threading. The tape should
be unwound in the opposite direction of tightening onto the threading.
When the water level in the pool is 5 or 6 cm below the skimmer, continue and assemble the skimmer
by proceeding as follows (see diagram 1):
Press an object against the liner (such as a biro top) to locate the holes of the section cut out from
the sheet metal.
Use a crosshead screw driver to puncture through the liner into these holes.
Position the rubber seal against the liner.
Position the securing plate against the rubber seal.
Screw the plate onto the sheet metal.
Screw the threaded union (coated with Teflon tape), the pipe and the tightening collar onto the
skimmer.
Cut the liner away from in front of the skimmer, working from within the pool.
Connect the annelated pipe of the skimmer to the filtration system.
Allow the level of water to rise until the skimmer is half underwater.
Make sure there is a satisfactory seal and re-tighten the bolts if needed.
WARNING: Never permanently install the skimmer or the outlet before the water arrives to within a few
centimetres of them, because the liner has to be properly pulled taut with the pressure of the water.
IMPORTANT: All the filtration systems meet the NF C 15-100
installation standard, which stipulates that any electrical
apparatus that is situated less than 3.50m from the pool and
freely accessible must be powered by very low voltage, 12V.
Any electrical apparatus powered by 220V must be situated at
skimmer
least 3.50 m from the edge of the swimming pool. This means
that:
for a sand filter, the unit must be installed more than 3.50m
from the swimming pool
for a filtering skimmer, the transformer must be more than
3.50m from the swimming pool.
