Before assembly of the side panel, make the skimmer and return pipe cut-outs with steel cutters. File
the cut edges smooth. Apply a rustproofing product to the cut edges. Wear protective gloves to carry
out this operation.
N.B. For walls made of two half-walls, only make the cut-outs on one half-wall and stick a
protective strip (adhesive tape) on the unused cut-outs inside the pool to protect the liner.
12 - Installation of Liner (Installation work should be done bare-footed)
Warning: This is a delicate operation, and should be done with a great deal of care. It is
recommended that you install the liner while the outside temperature is between 15°C and
25°C.
REMINDER: to enter and leave the pool during installation work, use the ladder.
Unfold the liner within the pool. The side with the smooth seals is the inside of the liner.
After having removed 2 or 3 upper rails at the curved sections, start to lift the edge of the liner over the
wall, allowing 10 to 20 cm to extend beyond the edge towards the exterior; as you work, temporarily
secure the liner with clothes pegs. Do not apply excessive tension to the liner. To do this work, your
feet should bring the bottom of the liner into contact with the base of the sheet metal. Proceed in the
same manner at the other end, and again on the two sides. This will enable you to check whether the
liner is properly centred. There should not be any large folds across the pool. Continue to raise the
liner around the pool, securing it in position with other pegs.
N.B. Your liner is welded to the dimensions of your pool. It cannot be too big or too small. It is
important to do the assembly work properly.
Do not use untreated water to fill your pool (borehole, river...).
Start to fill the pool with 1 or 2 cm of water. Properly spread the liner over the bottom, and remove the
folds by "sliding" them outwards, with the flat of your hand, from the centre of the pool towards the
edge, until no more remain.
As soon as your liner is in position, you can proceed to fit the plastic and metal sections, as well as the
connecting plates and the upper plates.
A bank of 8 to 10cm should be built (a mound of fine sand) around the
base inside the pool, particularly along the sides of the pool, and the
whole surface of the pool should be covered with a 2cm layer of sand.
The sand prevents the liner from slipping under the metal sheeting and
protects it from protruding parts of the structure of the pool, which could
pierce it (the pressure plates as well as the bolts of the straps in
2 cm
particular, should be completely covered).
Once the floor has been prepared thus, cover it with a rot-proof felt mat
rising 10 to 12cm up the wall. Stick the mat to the wall with double-
sided adhesive tape.
The mat prevents the appearance of fungi under the liner.
