The control latch may not extend when the door is closed: When producing striking plates, it must be
ensured that the control latch never extends when a door is closed. In such case, it would not be possible
to open the door again. The control latch is not designed for closing and locking, therefore it cannot be
retracted either.
When customer-provided locking plates are produced, the following specifications must be observed.
· The dimensions mentioned in Fig. 15 must be observed,
· the latch bolt and control latch must be pushed back by the striking edge,
· The latch bolt, control latch and door contact must be able to slide to the locking position unimpeded
over a contiguous, completely level surface (no drilled holes, impressions, etc.).
· the thresholds for the rebate gap must be observed.
