In case a device needs to be replaced, for example due to a fault, it is sufficient to access the config-
uration menu of device to be replaced, move to the option "Replace" and press ENTER. In this way the
control panel enters the acquisition phase and waits to receive a signal from the new radio device
replacing the old one.
To know how to force the signal for different wireless devices refer to its manual. Once the replacement
is successful, the keypad display will show the new serial number. About he other parameters (descrip-
tion, partition associated, etc.), the new device will use the programming of the former device that
replaced.
To check the power of any wireless device signal is sufficient to enter the device configuration menu
and search for the "Signal Level". Here it is displayed the power level at which the control panel has
received the last message sent by the device.
A good signal power is very important to ensure a stable communication between device and control
panel. The value read should be interpreted as follows:
• up to -75dBm: excellent signal
• from -76dBm to -90dBm: good signal
• from -91dBm to -100dBm: sufficient signal
• from -101dBm to -120dBm: very poor signal (possible temporary loss of connection between device
and control panel).
If instead of a value it is displayed for the string "Not available", it means that the device has not com-
municated yet with the control panel since the last time there was a change in the programming. In
this case it is necessary to wait a few minutes or even force a transmission from the device (for example
by closing and opening the magnetic contact or passing in front of the volumetric sensor).
From the signal level display menu, if you press the ENTER key, it is possible to start a new measure. Once
the new measure has been started in the control panel, it is necessary to force the transmission from the
wireless device (for example by closing and reopening the magnetic contact or passing the volumetric
sensor). During this phase, the wireless device transmits an attenuated power of 9dB. The attenuation
is introduced to give themselves the edge during installation or maintenance, in order to allow the sys-
tem to continue to work even if there are environmental changes in the future that may worsen radio
connection between central and peripheral (e.g. the furniture change).
In configuration phase is possible to change the descriptions of the various components (sensors, phone
book, etc.). Each keypad key is associated with a group of characters that can be scrolled by repeat-
edly pressing the same key. The flashing character flash is the one changing. To add a new character
to the string it is sufficient just to type a new button or wait three seconds from the last key pressured.
